The Firefly and The Butterfly

Our firefly, Gem, meets a new friend in this second story in Gem’s Island Adventures Series. Zuri, a beautiful blue butterfly stranded on the island after losing her family, wants nothing more than to fly again. But no matter how hard she tries, she can’t. Her beautiful blue wings drag heavily behind her as she practices flying only to fall again and again.

Zuri confesses her worst fears to Gem. She’s scared she’ll never see her family or fly again. Ready to give up hope, Zuri stops believing in herself and her abilities. Gem is determined to help her new best friend learn how to spread her wings again, but how?
